Could we see Lord Voldemort in the Fantastic Beasts series?
Ralph Fiennes, who portrayed Lord Voldemort brilliantly in the Harry Potter movies, recently revealed that he’s more than willing to return as the iconic dark wizard.
Appearing on BBC Newsnight, Fiennes stated that he’s extremely possessive of Voldemort (the role not the person) and would happily return as the iconic villain if given the opportunity.
Read what the actor said below:
“Well, there are variants, aren’t there? Fantastic Beasts and things. I feel a kind of affection for Voldemort. So if there was a world in which Voldemort came back, I would be very possessive about wanting to reprise that.”
While there’s a very slim chance that Lord Voldemort will make an appearance in the Fantastic Beasts series, it’s extremely exciting to hear that Fiennes would be willing to return as the character. With that said, however, I would personally prefer future Harry Potter spin-off movies to explore new characters and new villains.
