From his battle against Voldemort and the Basilisk to his run-in with the Whomping Willow, Harry’s second year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry delved deeper into the Wizarding World and offered some outrageously entertaining and undeniably iconic moments!

Here are our five favourite moments in Harry Potter And The Chamber Of Secrets!

Into Tom Riddle’s Diary

Harry Potter

It might not be the most exciting or action-packed moment in Harry Potter And The Chamber Of Secrets, but it’s easily one of the most intriguing and revealing scenes in the entire series. After being sucked into Tom Riddle’s diary, Harry is able to explore a young Voldemort’s memories and learns what happened last time the Chamber of Secrets was opened.

Learning To Duel

Harry Potter

Some of the best moments in the entire Harry Potter series take place in a Hogwarts classroom, so it shouldn’t come as a surprise that Snape and Lockheart’s duelling class is one of our favourite moments in Harry Potter And The Chamber Of Secrets. This is the first time we see magic used to attack, and it’s endlessly fun to watch Snape send Lockheart flying through the air.

Dobby Is Free & Saves Harry

Harry Potter

There are more than a few memorable, iconic and badass scenes in Harry Potter And The Chamber Of Secrets, but only a handful manage to beat this spectacularly satisfying moment! Furious that Harry outsmarted him and freed Dobby, Lucious Malfoy attempts to kill the young wizard. To everyone’s surprise, however, the heroic House Elf defies his former master and saves Harry’s life!

Flying Car & Whomping Willow

Harry Potter

The Harry Potter films are full of inventive and exciting sequences, but the moment Harry and Ron steal the Weasley’s flying car and crash it into Hogwarts’ ancient and beloved Whomping Willow is quite easily one of the most memorable!

Hermione & Hagrid Return

Harry Potter

When it comes to iconic moments in Harry Potter And The Chamber Of Secrets, you won’t find anything better than the moment Hermione and Hagrid return to the Great Hall! After being petrified (Hermione) and sent to Azkaban Prison (Hagrid), it’s incredibly heartwarming and emotional to see these beloved characters return home to Hogwarts!
