The Harry Potter series is full of incredible moments, with each film in the franchise delivering epic scene after epic scene. It’s almost impossible to choose which moments are our favourites, but over the next few weeks, that’s exactly what The Blog That Must Not Be Named is going to do! To celebrate some of the best scenes in the Harry Potter film series, I’m going to be looking back at each film in the franchise and ranking the five best moments they have to offer!
Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows – Part 1 is often considered to be one of the weakest instalments of the beloved franchise, with many calling it overly dull and slightly boring (it’s actually one of my favourites), but the film still has plenty of amazing moments! From the heartbreaking opening to the thrilling broomstick chase and beyond, the opening chapter of Harry’s final adventure contains some of the series’ most beautiful, badass and iconic moments!
Here are our five favourite moments from Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows – Part 1
5. Harry Visits His Parents’ Grave

The Harry Potter series contains more than a few heartfelt and deeply emotional moments, but only a few compare to this beautifully constructed scene. Seeing Harry visit his parents’ grave in Godric’s Hollow is one of the franchise’s most intimate and emotional moments, which shows exactly how much Harry has matured since his days in the cupboard under the stairs.
4. Voldemort Gets The Elder Wand

As much as we like to see our heroes win, it’s always fun when the villains get their moment in the spotlight! Every instalment of the Harry Potter franchise has a cheer-worthy ending, but watching Voldemort steal the Elder Wand from Dumbledore’s grave is perhaps the most exciting and infuriating of them all.
3. Ron Saves Harry And Gets The Sword Of Gryffindor

Harry might be the true hero of the Wizarding World, but Ron and Hermione het their fair share of badass, inspiring and heroic moments along the way! After watching Ron abandon his friends and their mission to defeat the Dark Lord, it’s undeniably fulfilling to see him make a heroic return, pulling Harry from the freezing water and diving to retrieve the Sword of Gryffindor.
2. Motorbike Chase

It might not be the franchise’s best or most exciting action sequence, but if you’re looking for the most iconic and memorable moments in Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows – Part 1, it’s impossible to ignore the action-packed, heartbreaking and thrilling motorbike chase. This outrageously badass sequence is easily one of the films most memorable, especially because it forces us to say goodbye to iconic characters like Hedwig and Mad-Eye Moody.
1. Dobby Saves The Day

From Dumbledore to Sirius Black and even Hedwig, the Harry Potter series is full of heartbreaking character deaths, but Dobby the House Elf’s heroic and heart-wrenching sacrifice is one of the franchise’s best moments! Watching as Dobby sacrifices himself to save Harry, Ron and Hermione is utterly heart-wrenching, but it’s his final moments with Harry that truly bring the tears!

All awesome moments. (Deathly Hallows Part 1 is one of my favourites, too.)
Great to hear you agree! Was so hard to only talk about five!
Yeah, it would be! There are so many great scenes in each of the films.
