All The Known Patronus Forms of The Harry Potter Characters

From the three unforgivable curses to Harry’s favourite disarming charm, Expelliarmus, the Harry Potter series is full of badass spells. When it comes to the best spell in the Harry Potter universe, however, the Patronus Charm easily takes the top spot.

In the Harry Potter universe, the Patronus Charm is one of the most mysterious and challenging spells a witch or wizard can perform, which is why many in the wizarding community are shocked to learn that Harry can conjure a full-formed Patronus at such a young age. When done correctly, a Patronus takes the form of a silvery animal, which represents the spirit animal of the witch or wizard that conjured it. For our latest post on The Blog That Must Not Be Named, we’ve collected and listed the Patronuses of every Harry Potter character that has mastered the incredibly challenging charm.

Take a look at the list below:

Harry Potter’s Patronus is a stag, just like his dad.

Hermione’s Patronus takes the shape of an Otter.

Ron Weasley’s Patronus Is a Jack Russell Terrier.

Albus Dumbledore’s Patronus is, shockingly, a Phoenix.

Luna Lovegood’s Patronus takes the form of a Hare.

Ginny Weasley’s Patronus is a Horse.

Fred and George Weasley have identical Patronuses, which take the form of a Magpie.

James Potter’s Patronus is a Stag, just like Harry’s.

Severus Snape’s Patronus is a Doe, representing his love of Lily Potter.

Minerva McGonagall’s Patronus is the same as her Animagus, a Tabby Cat.

Remus Lupin’s Patronus takes the shape of a Wolf, however, the wizard prefers to produce a non-corporeal shape.

Nymphadora Tonks Produced a Hare Patronus, however, this changed to a wolf when she fell in love with Remus Lupin.

Arthur Weasley’s Patronus is a Weasel.

Kingsley Shacklebolt’s Patronus takes the shape of a Lynx.
