Get Your First Look At The Harry Potter Store In New York City

Thanks to Entertainment Weekly, we have our very first look at the new Harry Potter shop in New York City, which is set to open its doors on June 3, 2021!

Spanning 21,00 square feet and three floors, Harry Potter New York will house the largest collection of Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts products under one roof. When fans enter the flagship store, which is located in the heart of New York City, they will find 15 different themed areas and products that aren’t available anywhere else. As you can see in some of the newly released images, which we have placed below, the Harry Potter New York store has been beautifully designed to bring the magic of the Wizarding World to life!

“We at Warner Bros. are in a very uniquely privileged position to work directly with the filmmakers,” Karl Durrant, VP and General Manager of Warner Bros. Retail Destinations tells EW. “Thanks to this collaboration, we’re bringing authentic props that come directly from the films and also authentic recreations. From the Harry Potter films, you’ll be able to find Harry’s authentic wand on display, as well as Ron’s, Hermoine’s, and Dumbledore’s wands. We have the original Golden Snitch, Harry’s broomstick, Tom Riddle’s diary with a basilisk’s fang in the middle of it, and many other items.”

Harry Potter New York will offer exclusive products for fans of the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts movies, and the store will be one of the only places to offer personalised wands.

The new Harry Potter store will also offer virtual reality experiences, including an upcoming VR experience that lets fans ride a broomstick over the River Thames in London.

“We have two virtual reality experiences will be able to reveal more about soon,” he shares. “One will take you on a journey around Hogwarts called ‘Chaos at Hogwarts’ and another that will put you on a broomstick where you can fly over the River Thames in London called ‘Wizards Take Flight.'”

As well as Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts movie replicas, Harry Potter New York will also include America’s first House of MinaLima. MinaLima, the graphic design duo that worked on the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts films, will showcase a large collection of their work from the Wizarding World.

While many of the items sold at Harry Potter New York will be exclusive to the store, some items are currently available online from HarryPotterShop.com
