When the news broke that a flagship Harry Potter store would be opening in New York City, Wizarding World fans knew that something uniquely magical was on the way. The 21,000 square foot store will house the largest collection of Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts products in the world, but we’re sure fans will be more interested in this latest piece of news: The store will include a Butterbeer bar!
That’s right Potterheads, the Harry Potter New York store will have its very own Butterbeer bar, making it one of only a few outlets to offer the Wizarding World‘s favourite beverage.
“Once inside the Butterbeer Bar, fans will be greeted by a giant cascade of glowing Butterbeer bottles,” the store promises. “Nearly 1,000 bottles will rise from the floor and ‘float’ over the bar as Butterbeer moves magically across the ceiling through copper pipes. Witches, wizards, Muggles and No-maj’s alike are invited to enjoy a frothy cup of Butterbeer served in souvenir tankard, a refreshing Butterbeer ice cream or freshly poured bottled Butterbeer as well as range of wizarding world inspired treats.”

The beautifully designed Butterbeer bar will offer the beloved beverage in souvenir tankards, as well as bottles with a MinaLima designed label that’s exclusive to the New York location. Much like the Studio Tour in London and the Universal Theme Parks, the Butterbeer bar will also offer Butterbeer flavoured ice-cream.
The Harry Potter store in New York will open on June 3, meaning you don’t have to wait too long to enjoy your favourite Wizarding World snack!
