Warner Bros. has finally announced that the first official trailer for Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets Of Dumbledore will land this Monday. The studio released a brief Wizarding World teaser earlier today, giving fans a look the first footage from the new Fantastic Beasts movie.
The Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets Of Dumbledore footage reveals a first look at the next Wizarding World adventure and shows Albus Dumbledore (Jude Law) leading the fight against the villainous Gillert Grindelwald (Mads Mikkelsen). Perhaps the most exciting part of this teaser is the first glimpse we get at Mads Mikkelsen as Grindelwald, the role he famously stepped into following Johnny Depp’s departure from the franchise.
Take a look at the teaser below:
Professor Albus Dumbledore knows the powerful Dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald is moving to seize control of the wizarding world. Unable to stop him alone, he entrusts Magizoologist Newt Scamander to lead an intrepid team of wizards, witches and one brave Muggle baker on a dangerous mission, where they encounter old and new beasts and clash with Grindelwald’s growing legion of followers. But with the stakes so high, how long can Dumbledore remain on the sidelines?
While we’ll have to wait until Monday to get a better look at Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore, it’s clear that the next chapter of the story will focus heavily on Dumbledore and his fight against Grindelwald. With that said, it looks like we’ll still be having some fun adventures with Newt (Eddie Redmayne) and the gang!
The screenplay for Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets Of Dumbledore was written by Harry Potter creator J.K. Rowling alongside screenwriter Steve Kloves, who worked on the Harry Potter movies. It was widely reported that Kloves was brought in to work on the screenplay following the negative reaction to Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes Of Grindelwald.
Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets Of Dumbledore will land in cinemas on April 15th 2022.
