If you think one Batman movie is something to get excited about, how about three? In a recent interview with Fandango, Robert Pattinson revealed that he and director Matt Reeves have discussed making a new Batman trilogy following the release of The Batman.
Robert Pattinson, who will make his first appearance as Bruce Wayne/Batman in Matt Reeves’ The Batman, was recently asked by Fandango how long he would like to portray the character. The actor responded by saying that he would “do this for as many times as people want to see it,” before revealing that he and director Matt Reeves have even discussed making a trilogy of movies after The Batman. See what Pattinson said below:
“It was fun doing it, I’m down to do this for as many times as people want to see it, really. I’ve gotta get this one out, first! I’ve talked to Matt [Reeves] about the idea of doing a trilogy. I know it’d be wonderful. I really enjoyed the process. It’s such a fun character to play. That’d be lovely.”
While this is far from official confirmation that more Batman movies starring Robert Pattinson are on the way, it’s exciting to hear that the actor is still excited about the possibility of returning as the Caped Crusader. The Batman will explore Bruce’s second year as the masked vigilante, meaning there will still be plenty to explore for Pattinson and Reeves after the credits roll.
