Netflix has finally revealed when Stranger Things will return for its long-awaited fourth season!
It has been a whopping three years since we saw Eleven, Mike and the gang in Stranger Things season three, but the long wait for more adventures is nearly over!
The release date for Stranger Things season four has finally been revealed, with the series’ creators, the Duffer Brothers, announcing that the new batch of episodes will be split into two separate volumes. Stranger Things 4: Volume 1 will be released on May 27, while Stranger Things 4: Volume 2 will land five weeks later on July 1.
Discussing their decision to split the fourth season into two volumes, the Duffer Brothers said:
“With nine scripts, over 800 pages, almost two years of filming, thousands of visual-effects shots and a runtime nearly twice the length of any previous season, Stranger Things 4 was the most challenging season yet, but also the most rewarding one. Everyone involved is incredibly proud of the results, and we can’t wait to share it with you. Given the unprecedented length, and to get it to you as soon as possible, Season 4 will be released in two volumes,” they added. “Volume 1 will release on May 27th; Volume 2 will release five weeks later on July 1st.”
A batch of new posters for Stranger Things season four have also been revealed, giving us a look at some of the locations we’ll be seeing when the show returns.
