The official title for James Cameron’s first Avatar sequel has been announced, and we also know when the first trailer will be released.
Disney announced the title during its presentation at CinemaCon, where it also revealed info about upcoming releases like Black Panther: Wakanda Forever and Lightyear. The long-awaited sequel to James Cameron’s Avatar, which broke all box-office records when it was released in 2019, has been officially titled Avatar: The Way of Water.
Disney also showed off the first footage from Avatar: The Way Of The Water, which was described as “dazzling” and “gorgeous” by The Hollywood Reporter. Luckily for all of us, we won’t have to wait very long to see the first trailer for the Avatar: The Way Of The Water. Disney has revealed that the first-look trailer will be shown before Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness next week.
Director James Cameron has been filming Avatar: The Way Of The Water and three other Avatar sequels back-to-back – although it’s yet to be seen if audiences will show-up to support the franchise with such a big gap between the original and the sequel.
Avatar: The Way Of The Water will land in cinemas on December 16, 2022.
