Tom Cruise’s next globe-trotting adventure as Ethan Hunt is officially titled Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One.
The title for the seventh Mission: Impossible movie was announced during Paramount Pictures’ Thursday presentation at CinemaCon, the trade show for theatre owners. Christopher McQuarrie, who has directed every Mission: Impossible movie since Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation (2015), returns to direct the seventh instalment of the franchise.
Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One will see Tom Cruise return as IMF agent Ethan Hunt, alongside Ving Rhames, Henry Czerny, Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson, Vanessa Kirby and Frederick Schmidt. The film will also introduce Hayley Atwell, Pom Klementieff, Shea Whigham, Esai Morales, Rob Delaney, Charles Parnell, Indira Varma, Mark Gatiss and Cary Elwes to the franchise.
Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One has been delayed multiple times due to the pandemic, but the film has now been officially scheduled for July 14, 2023. The second part of Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning will be released on June 28, 2024.
