SDCC: Marvel Officially Announced ‘Thunderbolts’ Movie

Marvel Studios didn’t miss the opportunity to make some major announcements at San Diego Comic-Con, with one of the most surprising reveals being the addition of a Thunderbolts movie to the schedule. While in Hall H, Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige revealed the upcoming slate of Marvel Cinematic Universe movies, which included Thunderbolts.

While we’ve heard for a little while that a Thunderbolts project was in the works at Marvel Studios, this is the first official confirmation that we’ve had from the studio. We still don’t know exactly which characters Marvel Studios will decide to include in the movie, but we imagine it will have something to do with the team that Countessa Valentina (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) has been assembling. Thunderbolts will be the last film/series in Marvel’s Phase Five, releasing on July 26th, 2024!
